Number of MPs requested the Speaker Yahya Al-Raei in today's session to carry out the Parliamentary recommendations and forming a Special Committee to follow up the recommendations that Parliament called for on Wednesday's session . The special Committee would be formed of some MPs and some members of the General Prosecution. This Committee will follow up the parliamentary recommendations of releasing the prisoners in the National, Political and Special Prisons. These prisoners were arrested without any legal evidence. The Parliament had called the Minister of Interior to release these prisoners or to bring them to justice.
MP Ali A'ashal said that the issue of these prisoners caused many Problems in the Political life. The dialogue between the ruler Party and the opposite Parties were interrupted because of this issue, he added. Forming this Committee will lead to the solution of all political country's Problems, he explained. He suggested forming the Committee of the following MPs' names:
1-Muhammad Al-hawri
2-Muhammad Abdulilah Al-qaddi
3-Zaid Al-shami
4-Aidaroos Al-naqeeb
5-Abdullah Al-maqtari
In addition to some others MPs, He said
While MP Al-Ma'amari stressed on the need of forming the Committee to begin its job in carrying out the Parliamentary recommendations related to the issue of prisoners. The Parliament's Speaker replied that we will send a message to the Prime Minister and the Minister of Justice to carry out the Parliamentary recommendations and to choose the Committee's members these members will be chosen from the General Prosecution, and two member s from each of the following Parliamentary Committees; Defense and Security, Rights and Freedoms and Justice and Endowment. He referred to that on tomorrow Sunday we will elect the Committee.
MP Muhammad Al-naqeeb said that the Parliament minutes pointed to a number of sit-in and protest marches that are about (445) sit-in and marches. He asked why the government faces these peaceful protests with violence while in Berlin, the capital of Germany, there is about (2000) sit- in and march but the government didn't call them acts of sabotage. In Germany the people go to such acts clothing suits but in Yemen they go with Bazookas, the Speaker Yahya Al-Raei replied.
The Parliament opened the session by reading Al-Fatehah surrah (chapter of the holy Koran) for the MP Muhammad Al-Joma'ay who died yesterday- as mark of mourning.
Parliament listened to the questions that MP Aidaroos Al-naqeeb asked the Minister of Interior about arresting a number of citizens for more than a year without any accusation or trial.
Parliament also listened to the second report of the Justice and Endowment Committee about the Paragraph (2) of the article (9) and Paragraph (b) of the article (17) and (30) from the draft of law of Documentation as well as the draft law of Higher Education. The Parliament will continue discuss these tow drafts of law in Sunday's session.
