YPWatch July 14 - MP Mohammed Bin Naji Al-Shaief apologized for the Prime Minister Mohammed Salem Ba Sindwah and the Minister of Finance Sakhr Al-Wajih for the offending them in the Parliament session of Wednesday July 11, 2012.
“In respect and tribute for our martyrs in Al-Hasabah and Sofan, in respect for my father the head sheikh of Yemen’s sheikhs the Sheikh Naji Abdulaziz Al-Shaief, the president of GPC, the President of the Repulbic, the head of the Parliament, the head of GPC bloc and my colleagues, I withdraw my talk,” said MP Mohammed Bin Naji Al-Shaief.
When Al-Shaief did not mention Ba Sindwah and AL-Wajih in his apology, MPs asked him to mention the names in the apology and not to suffice with withdrawing the offence against them, and then Al-Shaief apologized at the request of MPs.
On the same context, MP Abdulaziz Jubari said, “what Al-Shaief said does not fit us as a parliament, and a clear and explicit apology must be issued for the honest and decent Sakhr Al-Wajih.”
Jubari added, “in respect for journalists I apologize for the writer Abdulkareem Al-Razihi and I call the Parliament to withdraw the lawsuit lodged against him because what is going on here is confirming what was written in the article of Al-Razihi about the Parliament.”
In support for what Jubari posed, the Parliament announced withdrawing the lawsuit lodged against the writer Abdulkareem Al-Razihi for the charge of offending the Parliament in two articles published by the “Al-Yemen Al-Youm” newspapers.
