The Parliament Ratified the Loan of The Project of Protecting Sana'a City from the Floods

 The Parliament ratified the loan agreement of the project of protecting Sana'a City from the floods. The agreement is signed by the Yemeni government and the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD). This project is submitted by the Services Committee and The Oil and Minerals Committee.

MPs discussed the report and the previous agreements which relate to the project specially the project of Sana'a Waterway. MP Naser Arman asked about the loans that offered for the project. He said that many generations passed away while the project of the Waterway hasn't be finished yet!

For his part, MP Ali Al-Ansi expressed satisfaction with the project. He said that this project achieved good success. He also called the government to make more reservoirs such as the reservoir located near the Presidential Palace. These reservoirs are very important because they feed the big reservoir of Sana'a City, he added.

MP Ali Al-Ansi also talked about the defects of the project that occurred in the area near the Central Prison. These defects caused the drowning of many houses in that area. He pointed to the necessary of qualified companies which are not in the black list for implementing this project.

MP Abdulaziz Jubari said that this project took more than its time. If we had built a stone every day, this project would have been finished by the time we started discussing it, he added.

On other subject, the special committee which the Parliament assigned to preparing a report about the issues that Parliament will discuss with the government has finished the report and submitted it to the Parliament. Parliament will discuss this report in the next sessions.

The Parliament also listened to the report that prepared by the Higher Education and Youth Committee about the results of the study and the discussion of the Higher Education Law.
