MP: “The presence of US Marines will let Sana’a fall in the hands of Al-Qaeda”

YPWatch, Sept. 6 – A MP said that the presence of US Marines in Sana’a will let Sana’a fall in the hands of Al-Qaeda and convert the city into a battlefield. Another MP called for the government to be interrogated with regard to these presence.

MP Nabil Al-Basha indicated that the arrival of dozens of Marine forces to Sana’a is not significant, however it offends Yemenis and increases sympathy towards Al-Qaeda and will convert Sana’a into a battlefield, as it happened in Iraq and Somalia. Al-Basha praised Sudan’s attitude of refusing to receive US soldiers in its territory and the refusal of the Syrian Free Army of implementing an international no-fly zone considering it a violation of the country’s sovereignty.

On its side, MP Mansour Al-Zindani demanded to summon the government in order to inquiry about the presence of US forces in Yemen, and call for the boycott of US goods.

MP Ali Abdrabu Al-Qadhi called for the president to expel the US soldiers from anyplace in Yemen, as well as for stopping air strikes by US drones.

Media outlets reported US Marines arriving to Yemen to protect its embassy that was broken through last Thursday by protesters objecting a film defaming Prophet Mohammed (Peace And Merci Be Upon Him).

Additionally, the Parliament continued to hear the Special Committee Report on the State’s budget for 2008 and the legal violations from several governmental bodies contained on it.
