Parliament Begins the Discussion of the Income Tax Draft Law in spite of MPs' Reservations

Parliament discussed on today's session the first and second chapters of the draft law of income tax in spite of number of MPs' reservations. MPs' reservations are about the draft law's content and objectives. Parliament will continue the discussion in the next session with expectations of bitter debates and criticisms because the sales tax law has not been implemented since Parliament approved in 2001.
In another issue,Hadramout's bloc postponed suspension of membership in Parliament till tomorrow Sunday as they wait the promises of executing the Parliamentary decisions regarding Dorat al-Mukalla project. MP Sultan al-Barakani the head of GPC Parliamentary bloc promised to contact with the government and follow up this issue. Al-Barakani promised to present the results of the communication with the government on tomorrow's session. "The government is going to implement the related rulings and give the rightful owners their lands" al-Barakani declared.
MP. Sa'ed Doman one of Hadramout's bloc members told the YPW Editor that MPs requested Hadramout's bloc to postpone the suspension till tomorrow as response to MP Sultan al-Barakani's request. There are efforts to implement the related rulings and return the lands to their rightful owners" he added. He explained that the issue is not the lands because lands are not the investors' concerns what they concern is the principles of investment in Yemen.
